This season, Mayfield became the 10th player in FBS history to throw for 14,000 yards in a career. He is the first of those to rush for 1,000 yards as well. He also moved ahead of former Oklahoma quarterback and Heisman winner Sam Bradford for the FBS record for career passing efficiency.
The Cowboys should root for the 9-4 Saints to pull away in the NFC South, and for either the 8-5 Falcons or 8-4 Panthers to completely collapse down the stretch.

The Panthers still need to play at Atlanta. They also draw the Vikings and Packers (maybe with Rodgers) at home as part of their final four games. Four losses are unlikely, but still possible, which would drop them to 9-7.
The Falcons still need to play the Saints again and then the Panthers in Week 17. There’s a potential for three losses there so the Cowboys can finish ahead of the Falcons.
New Orleans can play a huge part in those results, and either Atlanta or Carolina could do Dallas a huge favor by knocking the other out in the season finale.
Elite Womens Joey Gallo Jersey With Mayfield running the show, the John Phillips Womens Jersey Sooners have posted the highest offensive efficiency rating since ESPN began tracking the metric in 2005. Since Mayfield took over as Oklahoma’s starting quarterback in 2015, the Sooners have led the FBS in points per game, offensive touchdowns, yards per game and yards per play the past three seasons.
Mitchell Trubisky will aspire to have the same kind of second season as fellow second overall pick Carson Wentz has had this year. But for now, Wentz has the greater supporting receivers (including former Bear Alshon Jeffery) and the deeper running game. Chicago’s defense will only limit Philadelphia for a couple series before the Eagles fly up to their usual heights. Trubisky will be under siege against Philly’s defense for much of the second half.
This looks like a spot for the Browns to steal one, but then again, the Bengals’ defense is playing well, and Andy Dalton has steadied himself after an awful start. It’s early afternoon at home, so Dalton will get the job done with plenty of A.J. Green and Tyler Kroft, but a late TD from DeShone Kizer brings Cleveland close in the waning moments.
